The Ruff House Dog Center has three large indoor play rooms, each equipped with enrichment activites, play equipment, air-conditioning, padded floors, private kennels, and outdoor access. We do our best to make sure your friend feels like one!

TURFED EXERCISE YARD’S WITH POOL’S!

A tired dog is a happy dog! So we decided to turf our rear yard, grab playground equipment, and fill some pool’s for exactly that purpose! We like to give our dogs a variety of supervised activites so THEY can choose how to spend thier day!

At The Ruff House Dog Center, we know what it takes to let dogs expend their energy without crossing into their wild side! This means controlled play groups with keen supervisors who know dog body lanugage, in-house relationship dynamics, and are not over-extended by overcrowded facilties.

1. Submit your Vaccines and Questionnaire

Send us an email with your pup’s current vaccines (rabies, distemper, and bordatella required) and brief medical history. Once we have your paperwork, we will send you our intake questionnaire and schedule your dog an Evaluation date!

2. Get Evaluated

All members of our daycare groups must pass our Daycare Evaluation, where we try and get an idea of how well your pup will fair in a daycare setting. During our evaluation, we cross reference the answers on your questionnaire and test a variety of factors of dog behavior, such as handling comfortability, overall temperament, play style preference, and more.

3. Welcome to The Pack!

Upon a successful Evaluation, you are now a member of the pack and are free to schedule services at The Ruff House Dog Center as often as you’d like! Our online portal system makes it easy to request  and pay for days of daycare, boarding, or grooming services!

General Requirements

Evaluations: All dogs must successfully pass our evaluation process in order to utilize our daycare. Our evaluations are a 4 hour visit during a daily course of daycare where we test potential packmates on a series of prosocial dog behavioral factors. Our evaluations are thorough, with only one conducted per day to maximize individual attention for new pack members. The evaluation costs a one time fee of $50.

Vaccines: All dogs utilizing our daycare services must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza vaccines with records provided by their veterinarian. Dogs receiving vaccines that have lapsed must wait 7 days before returning to The Ruff House. Vaccine titers submitted by a veterinarian may be accepted on a case by case basis. 

Minimum Age Requirements: Dogs attending our daycare must be at least 4 months of age and have received their entire round of vaccines (included all boosters).

Ownership Requirements: Owners must have owned their dog for a minimum of 2 months prior to starting any daycare service.

Prosocial Behavior: All dogs in our daycare program must exhibit prosocial behavior towards humans and other dogs. Dogs exhibiting behavior that is unconducive in maintaining a safe and healthy environment may be asked to leave. Examples include: Excessive marking, excessive barking, excessive humping, aggression towards handlers or packmates, destructive behavior, fence jumping, etc.

Spay/Neuter: We take intact animals on a case by case basis. If they display negative behavior that may be related to their intact nature, we may dismiss them from daycare and retry after they have been altered. Owners of intact females MUST self monitor their dogs heat cycles. Dogs approaching their heat cycle or go into heat while in our facility will be asked to leave and remain home for a minimum of 3 weeks. 

Breed Restrictions: We currently do not operate with any breed restrictions. 

Check In and Check Out Requirements

Drop-off’s: All dogs attending daycare, full day or half day, must be dropped off between 7am and 11am! We do not offer separate sessions and this allows us to properly manage and rotate playgroups appropriately.

Pickup’s: Dogs accompanying us for a full day (any period over 6 hours) must be picked up by 6pm before late pickup fees apply. Dogs accompanying us for a half day (periods under 6 hours, drop off any time before 11am) must be picked up within the 6 hour window for half day charges to apply. In the event your half day stay runs longer than 6 hours, no problem! Your half day secures your space all day, regardless of service type, and we will amend the charges to reflect a full day stay. 

Curbside Pickup: Due to positive customer feedback, we have maintained curbside pickup and drop-off for our daycare service. During drop off, please ensure your dog is fully secure to their leash via harness or collar. Do not under any circumstance release them from your vehicle or your care without one of our handlers having explicit control of their leash and related components. If a dog is loose in our parking lot due to no error on the end of The Ruff House, its contractors, or employees, all current and future service agreements will be terminated immediately.

Package Policies

Daycare Packages: All daycare package days expire 3 months from the date of purchase. We will provide refunds on a case by case basis for remaining daycare days. No exceptions!

Monthly Unlimited Packages: Monthly Unlimited packages are billed on the 1st of the month and allow a dog unlimited daily daycare visits during open hours. Unlimited packages must be purchased by the 3rd of the month in question (we will retroactively add any previously used day to the unlimited package). Monthly Unlimited packages and remaining days in a Monthly Unlimited expire and become non-refundable on the last day of the month in which the package was purchased i.e. If you purchased a March Monthly Unlimited and did not bring your dog for 3 days in the month of March, your forfeit the 3 unused days and they will not roll over for use in the future. We hold individual space every day when a Monthly Unlimited is purchased, therefore must charge for all days in which a dog was pre-scheduled. 

Cancellations and Late Fee’s

Cancellations: All daycare cancellations must be made by 8am the day of the reservation! Any cancellation made after this period will be assessed the charge of one full day of day care ($37).

Late Fee’s: All dogs must be picked up by 6pm! Late pickup’s will be charged $1 per minute up until pickup time. After 20 minutes (6:20pm), we will add an additional $15 charge in concurrence with the running $1/min charge. Dogs not picked up by 6:30pm will be boarded overnight at the owners expense!

These policies are in place to enable us to provide the highest quality dog care we can. Therefore, we do not make exceptions to these policies. Thanks!
